Idol Chatter...top 8

Top 8, aren't they great?? Well some were, others...sealed their fate??

General impressions. I'm pretty much divided in half. 50% I like, 50% I would like to go home!

1. Paul-He Like the Old Time Rock and Roll. Surprising, because he's dressed like a Spanish Bull Fighter. The outfit was loud and obnoxious, as was the saxaphone and tambourine. Not my favorite.

2. Lauren-The Climb. Well, you did blow Miley Cyrus away. I loved the first half. You had me until you started your "climb" in the middle to the break. After that, it was just okay. Please dress like a 16 year old next week, not a 26 year old. :)

3. Stefano-End of the Road from Boyz II Men. Yes, I once owned the album. Gotta say, well, as the kids put it these days...that was Legit! And as Randy says..he was in it to win it!!

4. Scotty-Cross My Heart. Cross my heart, I think I'm becoming a country fan. When will your album be out? This kid just might win it all. Originally I thought he was going to be the one they made fun of in the season finale with his "baby turn the lights down low", but now I think he'll be in the finale as a contestant.

5. Casey-Nature's Boy. Well, I might be one of 5 people who have heard of this song. I thought you murdered Nat King Cole's version, and not in a good, that was bad, way. I thought it was bad, just bad. Hated all the weird voices and scatting. I think scat is a good word to remember, like scat! you're outta here!

6. Haley-Call Me. Blondie/Debbie Harry, whoever she was from the 80's. Totally kareoke, just missing the cocaine-induced high that Debbie had. Nobody's calling for you tonight...no votes for you!

7. Jacob-Bridge Over Troubled Water. You might be the bridge, or the troubled one. You got served a big dose of humble pie from Jimmie and Will-i-am. Nobody likes to be preached to...you got schooled! You however, remind me of Aretha in Drag...If you're interested I"ll e-mail you my creations.

8. James-Heavy Metal. What's with the talking back to the mentors? Man, if they have some advice, take it! And you should have listened. The guitar solo was the best part of this "act". Without the guitar, what do you have?? Just some wanna-be screachy McScreacherson.

Bottom 3 tomorrow? Casey, Haley and Jacob. Jacob got 2 votes and Casey got 2 also.
